Chez Robert et Louise, a classic and friendly meat-restaurant
Welcome to Chez Robert et Louise, a real temple of authentic rustic French cuisine and the ideal restaurant to spend a brisk spring evening.
Located in the Marais, this small family-restaurant opened in the fifties under the leadership of Robert and his wife Louise. An history that gives this cozy inn a soul of its own. Its two rooms have an incredible rural decor. Gingham curtains, exposed beams, tiled floors and large rustic wooden tables create an atmosphere that will make you feel like you are on vacation in the French countryside.
And let’s not forget the large crackling fireplace – used to cook the meat – and the delicious aroma of wood fire that gives the place its welcoming and magic atmosphere. All in all, the delightful smells in Chez Robert et Louise will make you hungry.
And being hungry is a good thing in Chez Robert et Louise, as the menu is packed with all that makes a perfect French yesteryear cuisine. To start your meal, you will find an impressive selection of rillettes, snails, plates of charcuterie and foie gras. Then, between the menu of the day and the dishes à la carte, it is up to you to choose your favorite main course among, inter alia, a lamb rib grilled on wood fire, an andouillette served with good little potatoes or vegetables, and delicious veal kidneys, all of these being cooked right under your eyes. Why not also try the huge beef rib to share among three persons, or one of the excellent game dishes with their sauces worthy of our grandmothers’ best recipes?
So do not hesitate and go to this unceremonious and friendly restaurant where one comes not only for the “bon vivant” atmosphere but also for the succulent and hearty food. You might just want to book in advance to guarantee your place and to avoid the queue!
